It is very closely linked to and in fact most commonly a symptom of Anxiety. My preferred approach to treatment is to understand how it manifests for you and identify your underlying patterns of anxiety that support it.

Your treatment plan would then almost certainly address your anxiety first, then the specifics of the problem behaviours your experiencing.  This proven method ensures that we aren’t simply “wallpapering over the problem” by treating just the symptoms.

No matter how long you have had the issue, we can address it within a treatment plan of 3 to 6 sessions.  Chances are, you’ll notice improvements in a range of other aspects of your life also, once the anxiety has been settled down.
